How does the deposit work?
Passport – If you leave a passport as a deposit then it needs to be the passport with the Vietnam visa. It is then sent to the shop that you are going to finish at.
Cash or Card – The deposit can be paid in cash or card but with a 3% fee on card. We do accept most major currencies in cash. The deposit is always refunded in cash though and we can only guarantee VND, Euro and USD. If you start and finish in the same shop then we can hold a cash deposit in any currency and return the same currency at the end.
How does the breakdown warranty work and what should I do if I break down?
The first step if you breakdown is to contact us – you can find our number on the map, contact, website and on the bike itself. After you contact us we will help direct you to a mechanic, who we will communicate with to assess the problem and agree a price. You will pay at the shop and hang onto any receipts which we will refund if applicable at the end of your trip.
What happens if the bike is damaged?
Renters are responsible for damage to the bike. You will be charged for any damage once the bike is returned. Any repairs done outside of our shops must be communicated and agreed by us, or you will be charged to bring these up to standard.
Do you offer insurance?
We do not offer insurance on our bikes.
Do I need a drivers license?
Legally a drivers license is required in Vietnam, but we do not need to see this for you to rent a bike under 150cc. Driving without a license is rarely an issue with local police.
What should I do if the police stop me?
It is unlikely that you will be stopped by the police, but it does happen, especially around Ha Giang and Mui Ne. Unfortunately, this is out of our control. We recommend being friendly and patient. If this happens then please feel free to contact our nearest shop for assistance.
