Our shop here is based in Ha Giang city. This is perfectly situated for you to explore further north into the Ha Giang region, east to the Cao Bang region or west towards Sapa.
We have many routes we recommend for these areas. It will depend on the amount of time and experience that you have. You can see this further down this page.
Our shop in Ha Giang is located a short walk from the bus station. Therefore it is easy to reach from Hanoi via bus. There is a night bus that arrives in Ha Giang around 2.30am. The bus also returns to Hanoi at 9pm so you can go back at night after completing the Ha Giang loop.
We offer a free stay in our Ha Giang dorm rooms when you arrive at this time. Allowing you can rest and get some sleep before you rent a motorbike.
All you need to do is book in advance. We can then prepare a bed for you and make sure someone is able to greet you on arrival. If needed we can help you arrange the bus from Hanoi to Ha Giang.
Ha Giang Motorbike Rental Protection
Whilst the Ha Giang loop is a stunning area to explore the mountainous roads can be dangerous so we want to make sure that all customers are riding safely. To ensure this we provide high quality European helmets with the rental and have good quality knee and arm protection from $1 per day. There is also a range of dirt bike protective trousers and shirts from $5 per day.
We also offer a free driving lesson to ensure you are able to ride safely. This can be done in Hanoi or Ha Giang.
Rent a Motorbike in Ha Giang
There is a large selection of bikes available in Ha Giang to suit your needs and experience which you can see below.
For beginners we have the Honda Wave Alpha 110cc semi auto.
Intermediate riders or someone looking to start riding a manual bike we have the Suzuki GD 110cc and the Detech Win 127cc manual.
For experienced riders we have the Honda CB 150cc and Honda XR 150cc manual.
Free Dorm Room
If you have booked the motorbike in advance then you are able to take advantage of the free dorm room we offer for the night you arrive from Hanoi on the bus.
The dorm room is located above our shop so then you can sleep there. Making it ideal for you to rest up before starting your trip.
Bus
Taking the bus to Ha Giang means leaves from Gia Lam bus station. This is in Long Bien, Hanoi, not too far from the center of Hanoi. The bus is only 200k – 300k VND, departing at between 8pm – 9.00pm and then arriving between 3am – 4.00am. For more information about the bus please contact us directly.
Ha Giang Loop Routes
Below you can see some of the routes we have for the Ha Giang loop which range between 3 – 7 days.
The shortest route we recommend is just based around the Ha Giang region. Whilst the longer routes explore the Cao Bang region including Ban Gioc and / or Ba Be Lake.
We also have the option to return bikes back to Hanoi. If you have more time then you can go further south although there is an additional drop off in other locations.
