Hoi An Sightseeing Guide
Cham Island
Cham Island is home to beautiful beaches and it is where most of the diving from Hoi An is done as well as the good fishing. There is a fast boat from Hoi An.

My Son
The remains from the My Son temple complex can be seen with a day trip from Hoi An. Built between the 4th and 14th Century the ruins are not in the best condition but are still a good day trip.

Hoi An’s icon basket boats are as fun as they are unusual. You can take a trip in 1 of these for 2 people for 45 mins from just 200k, or 250k with a pick up.

Pottery Village
A small pottery village where you can watch locals making pottery as well as trying your hand at it, it is not as easy as they make it look.

Tam Ky
Tam Ky has become famous for its painted murals on the side of many of houses here.

Boat Temple
A small landmark outside of the Palm Forest. In any coastal town, you will find a temple in the shape of a boat. They are dedicated to beached whales that are more well-known as the guardian of the ocean.

Japanese Bridge Temple
This old temple bridge was build by Japanese merchants in 1593 when Hoi An was a thriving trading town. The bridge can be seen on the back of the 20,000 VND bank note.

Hoi An Old Town
The iconic Hoi An old town is both beautiful in the day and the night. In the day you can enjoy the many coffee shops, restaurants and shops whilst at night the lanterns will be on, street food is sold and the old town comes to life.

Old Town Boat Trips
From here you can get boat trips up and down the rivers either in larger boats as a big group or small boats for just 1 or 2 people. All of the tickets have a set price to make the process easily. You will be able to buy small lanterns to set in the river during the ride.

Hue Citadel
The citadel is the must see in Hue. Home to the royal family in the past it is a stunning building and complex and well worth a visit.

The night walking street in Hue is a great place for a party. Plenty of people, plenty of bars offering beers and food. It is on every night of the week.
Abandoned Water Park
The abandoned water park as become a popular tourist attraction in Hue. The complex is closed but you can usually sneak in with the help of a small tip to the security guards.

Thien Mu Pagoda
A pagoda not far from the old town and easy to visit after visiting the citadel. There is no entrance fee.

Huyen Khong Son Thuong Pagoda
A lesser-known pagoda in the middle of literally nowhere. It is on the way to the Khe Ngang Reservoir. There’s is small sign that says the temple name and you just follow it. Road is not perfect some potholes here and there, but is a nice ride to a mountain top where the temple will be.
