Ha Giang Without a Bike? The Ha Giang Jeep Tour

You want to see Ha Giang but can’t or won’t go on a bike? No problem. 

Visiting Ha Giang on bike is the most popular way to do it but it is not the only way, and certainly not the most comfortable way. That would be in an Open Top Jeep, padded seats, the option to stand or sit, 360 degree views and stopping and starting whenever you want. 

Many people don’t feel safe riding a bike or sitting on the back. This might be due to not liking motorbikes, not being able to sit on a bike all day and for multiple days in a row or because of an injury or age. You can’t be too young or old for the Jeeps, especially with our children’s seats. Whatever the reason is, you can still explore Ha Giang with us. 

Our Jeeps

Our Jeeps are the modern comfortable Jeeps and not the old army style Jeep. The biggest difference is the padded seating, the roll bar we put in so you can stand leaning on this and the speakers so you can cruise through Ha Giang playing your favourite song.

What the difference between the Ha Giang Motorbike & Jeep Tour

Both tours go to the main places that make Ha Giang famous such as the Ma Pi Leng Pass, Lung Cu Flagpole and many of the viewpoints. There are some small paths in which the Jeep can’t reach such as the skywalk but there are locals with bikes at the bottom which offer to take you for a small fee. 

Sitting in the Jeep compared to sitting on the back or driving a bike all day or much less tiring, especially since the Jeep is a private tour so you can take stops at viewpoints much more flexibly. You can also take drinks with you so you can have stops anywhere for a drink and not just at the coffee shops on the way.

Since the Jeep tour is designed for comfort we also choose the accommodation to reflect that. We use the best accommodation we can for the Jeep Tour with private rooms and good food. We want our customers to get a good night’s sleep in a nice homestay so that you not only enjoy the evenings as much as the day but are also refreshed so you can enjoy the next day even more. 

Can you go with a Jeep and Bikes

Yes since the bikes can go anywhere the Jeep can go then a custom tour can be arranged so some people can go in the Jeep and others can go on bikes. So if you have a large group and some people can’t or won’t go by bike then you can still do the tour together. If you are an Easy Rider with the Jeep Tour then you can also switch positions between the Jeep and the bike as you go so you can still enjoy both of these experiences on the same tour. 

If you want to ride the bikes yourself but worry about riding the whole way then we also have a new Ride and Relax Tour option. We take a van with space for bikes and people. This means for the sections you don’t want to ride, or if it’s raining then you can sit in the van with the bikes in the back. Then when you reach a part you want to ride then you can pull the bikes out and off you go. The best of both worlds.
